Your layouts look beautiful, i like them both equally really, the choise is more of what the content of the site will be and then chose the one that's more appropriate. I can't make stuff like that:P I'm working on a poster now, i've already gone trough ten different design steps at each one it got a little better. I'm almost finished now and really proud of it, it took me months haha. I also have what you are describing, that your just not happy with all of it, and it really is that you need some rest, or need more fun really to get that energy back. Forcing it all never works i'm afraid. I have it sometimes to. But your designs are great really. Have some fun! Bye!

I think you cant make any layouts for your friend cause you make layouts that YOU like, you dont know what your friend likes, thats why you cant think of anything, you know what I mean?

chill, try and be a little less involved - its trying so hard to make an impression thats both getting you carried away in a design and giving you such a crash when you feel you haven't achieved it. If you could show your friend some examples of other layouts and ask what they do or don't like, or ask for a clearer brief from him first, I'm sure you'd be fine.

Looked at the designs and you have some skill in those hands of yours. If I had asked you for a layout and you gave stuff like that I would of hugged you :P. Sames happened with me on WoW hopefully Lich King will reignite the passion I had for it :S
